    New GFWL Policy


    Hello everyone - I've noticed a new trend with Games for Windows Live (GFWL)
    questions lately (e.g. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/all/gfwl-dlc-problems-fable-3-pc/ab00e795-f838-4752-a6d0-74a54f7305e5) - passing the buck. The last half dozen threads I've tried to respond to have been locked without even trying
    to help the user.

    Is the new policy to not provide support GFWL for any longer? Simply saying that because you bought it on Steam you need to talk to Steam to get it resolved isn't what we should be telling customers.

    Reason why it was locked is he changed the thread to the post you see now. That is when I locked it. As the original question was no longer available.

    I realized he changed it - I didn't see the original pre-edit, but I've seen other threads that basically are "You bought it on Steam contact their support" even when the real answer is "Although you bought it on Steam, it uses GFWL which is infrastructure
    Microsoft is responsible for." It's a big complicated mess.

    GFWL is the red headed step child no one wants.

    Cheaters - why aren't they being banned?

    There is a policy on naming and shaming, so well done on that.

    Sadly all you can do is report the player but with Microsoft abandoning GFWL I don't think you'll have any luck.
