Microsoft wants to change everything with Win 10 and guess what the One will be a PC if it isn't already. I'm not comparing apples to oranges but apples to apples. Gears will be exclusive to the Xbox and what will that mean when it gets released? (see Phil's
statement above).

 

Well I don't care about all the other stuff going on in this thread, but the games that have only been made for Xbox One have been better, there's no doubt. I look forward to a truly stunning gears experience!

Exactly. Third-party developers can worry about hitting every platform and making as much money as possible. Microsoft has new hardware that needs top class, showcase titles, and worrying about scaling
back/down would impact development negatively.


It's reassuring that they're not willing to sacrifice scale/vision in order to make more money. It bodes well for the future of the Gears IP I reckon.

like i said gears wont be on pc. if it is then ok but i doubt it has gears ever been on pc

 

Gears of War 1 is on the PC and has five new story chapters, 3 extra multiplayer maps, and all the DLC available (if you downloaded it before the GFWL marketplace shutdown). It even comes with a game editor to allow you to make custom content.

It's actually one of the best PC ports that I've ever come across. I own the game myself and still fire it up on occasion.

Gears of War became exclusive, just like Halo, because Microsoft wanted exclusive titles in order to drive console sales.

As to Gears I really don't see where they can go with the story now expect for more prequels.

The new Gears of War will surprise us. And I actually really look forward to see where Black Tusk takes us.

@vanyel that's my issue with a new gears we have had are story and it ended and if most games tell us anything prequels and just random story's hardly ever work

 

Just me, but I hate prequels. Today, great games are expected to come with a gripping and compelling story, or at least an attempt at one. If they're going to give me a great story, then start it where it actually starts... don't give me the end, then make
up the beginning later.

Like I said B4. It's not the 360 which is holding the X1 back, but rather. The X1 as well as the polices which govern it that currently are/will continue to hold it back.
