New Gears of War Only on Xbox One

That is right Defy Lightning, Rise of the Tomb Raider is releasing on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. But it is being made by a completely separate studio called Nixxes Software. While Crystal Dynamics is whole heartily working on the Xbox One version.

But as I and a few said above I believe that Gears of War for Xbox One only is a good thing. The Xbox 360 has been on a fantastic run, it is still selling well. And by acclimation the winner of the 7th Gen console race (although the Wii had more sales,
it fell to complete irrelevancy).

I love these threads.

What happens when Phil's vision becomes reality and you see these same threads from the PC crowd asking for developers to stop developing for the One because it's holding back the other devices that now have access to the "Xbox" brand?

 

Well, that is a fair point Randver. And to counter your point. PC's are more powerful for sure. However the graphical drop off is not the same as a Xbox One to a Xbox 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 for example. Also, PC's hardly dictate what happens
in a home console race. PCs are also high maintenance. Most people just want to put a game in and play it.

 

Should of left it as a trilogy...

I think it's good developers are focusing on next-gen. Especially dedicating entire studios to it. While AC: Unity was being made for next-gen and PC, AC: Rogue was being made by a different studio for PC, 360, and PS3.

I can see why development is still happening for PS3 and 360... I think what a lot of people fail to realise is just how vast the installed-base [number of active users] is on these platforms, and how much money can be made.

Cutting off development for them would be to cut off a huge revenue stream and be stupid. lol

 

I don't think this is really news. But I'm glad it's being designed for XO only.

Why is that every time Phil speaks everyone here is normally hanging on every word yet chooses to completely ignore the announcement last month?

"Xbox is no longer the console" his words or very close. They are bringing Xbox gaming back to the PC and realistically the only thing they can bring is the exclusives so when Gears, Halo, etc come to the One they come to the PC.

If they don't then the entire announcement was just gibberish. What are they going to sell in the Xbox PC store? Games that are already available elsewhere cheaper? Win phone, tablet app games? You don't hold a press announcement telling PC gamers they want
to get back into their good graces and then give them that......that's why I bring up the PC.

Why would some Pc gamer , with an intel i3 , 4 gig of ddr3 ram and a 440 graphics card ...complain that the Xb1 is holding gaming back..?.

For someone that has every gaming console , and a pc that could run Nasa ....you seem to spend a lot of your time on the Xb1 forums , telling us how mint Pc gaming is ..
