New gaming community DV! double vision

Hi Microsoft,

It's nice to see that Dolby vision is available . Please please please, add the DV option for discs, too.

Maybe a new petition can help ;-) ?

Ambasdadors don't have that information. For now it is HDR 10 and dolby vision. If you don't already have Tv, I suggest dv. HDR 10 + even it is a copy of DV isn't that good in dynamic optimization of the picture frame by frame.

Yeah, all those games support Dolby Vision and are good examples, in my opinion, of the superiority of DV over HDR10 (though I've not played Division 2).

Unfortunately though, you can't make a game use DV if it hasn't been written for it. As a proprietary format, content developers need to decide whether or not they want to pay the licensing fees to enable their games to use DV, while HDR10 in an open format and HDR10+ is at least royalty free, as far as I know.

But, you're right, there's no per-title method of forcing the console to use HDR10 if the title supports DV. I suppose Microsoft might address this with an update, but I doubt it. If the developers have licensed DV for their title, I'd say MS will keep using it if its enabled at a system level and supported by the TV.

Xbox One S only supports HDR10 for HDR content, and not the competing Dolby Vision standard. It looks like your TV supports the DV standard...

Thanks for replying. I've read somewhere that dolby vision was supported on streaming app at the beginning but Microsoft as proposed Dolby vision for Blu-ray player.

Why crosoft proposed DV only on streaming app, that ridiculous! It is a hardware problem?
