New games are not recognized, old games load & play fine

I really need help. Discs for games that are already installed work fine. The console will not recognize NEW games/discs. Hard resetting and everything else I've tried makes no difference. Doesn't seem to be hardware related, so I'm not sure where to turn
for a resolution. Thank you.

Forza Horizon 1 digital copy

I can load Rally mode and play, but Single Player just keeps saying disc error, other games are loading fine, my console is not that old and HDD is new.

Red dead seen as dvd?

On my new xbox console, put in red dead redemption and it sees it as a dvd ,will not play, all other games fine.

cleaned disc

clear cache

eject several times.

no joy

got it play on my old console yseterday, tried this morning on old console again, now wont load either.?

It's most likely hardware related since it won't read new discs. If you have a game installed and use it's disc it will work 99% of the time but if you buy a new game and it won't read the disc it is hardware related.

Correction. I was able to load saves from the USB drive. When i selected the USB drive as the saves to load on various games it worked just fine. This tells me the saves are fine my new console is just not recognizing it.

Well, that worked fine, to start a new game and then load it the old save. But I hope they fix this really really soon. Thanks AlwaysThereOG for the tip!!

I am having the same problem. Twitch does not recognize Battlefield 4. I load up Titanfall and it recognizes that, load back up Battlefield 4 and it says 'unknown game'. I was streaming just fine for about a month straight, every night, until recently...
