    New Gamertage validation?


    Not sure if this is the right place to post, but everytime I try to Change to a new gamer tag on my google chrome browser (adguards turned off), it refreshes "Check availability" and "claim it!" and doesn't acknowledge that i clicked the button and sends
    me through a loop

    On the Xbox one Console it is similar, Every attempt i do there and it keeps saying "Oops, something went wrong but we don't know why?" Is there a fix to this?

    Yeah, but if I changed that gamertag from Mosh1mo to something else, will that make that gamertag available or forever gone? I just want my gamertag for a new console... Not the games as he can keep them.

    Unable to add son to xbox one

    I have this exact same issue, spent hours yesterday on chat support, it has now been escalated. I can create new gamertag's on the console but dont really want to lose my sons existing gamertag.

    Hi Graceful Red!

    With regards to your concern. Have you tried to refresh first your account from the console then try again? To do that, just remove the account from the console then sign back in or download again. There can be an issue with the account so it needs to be
    reloaded from the console. Online, it can be an issue with the browser you're using.

    Hey there Graceful Red,

    I am sorry you're experiencing this issue. I would suggest
    Clearing your cache
    on your Chrome browser and see if this is the problem. If the problem persist's I would try going on a mobile device and see if it's happening there as well.

    As for the Xbox issue, you can try
    Power Cycling
    your Xbox One console - it will reboot it completely and fix any common issues. This process does not erase any of your games or data.

    If the problem persist you can will have to contact
    Xbox Support
    at (800) 469-9269.

    @SingCongButas25 This account was given to me by a friend and we made a microsoft account transfer first from a 360. I deleted her profile previously from the xbox one so it could be adjusted like new. Though that didn't work and i'm running into payment
    credential errors, and have read up similar issues of this happening to other people when ever this happens. So i'm more so inclined to beleive that microsoft hasn't worked out their transitioning with accounts on a technical level, though i was told to wait
    a couple of day and it would go away.

    @GUNZxNxROSEZ: Did it on multiple computers, same result, as said above, i'm thinking its an account issue that bringing on the technical troubles on their side then my user error.

    Be sure to verify all your details and information is correct at
    http://account.live.com
    and on
    http://billing.microsoft.com


    And try again after that.

    If it still results in issues, then I suggest contact Xbox Support (Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) via
    support.xbox.com/contact-us

    Xbox Support should be able to take a more in depth look into the account and hopefully see what is the issue.

    Issue is kind of solved. Thanks to WPAK's suggestion with chatting with support, I was told that after transferring microsoft accounts that there is a security feature on their end where i'll have to wait 24-48 hours for things to work again. We'll see if
    that was true in a few hours or more.
