    Okay so I was trying to change my gamertag to xXDub and when I went to check the availability of it, like it makes you when you go to change it, it said it was not available, but when I search for it like when you go to search for friends, it said the gamertag
    did not exist. So I would like to know why I can't change my gamertag to what I want?

    Yeah, but if I changed that gamertag from Mosh1mo to something else, will that make that gamertag available or forever gone? I just want my gamertag for a new console... Not the games as he can keep them.

    Unable to add son to xbox one

    I have this exact same issue, spent hours yesterday on chat support, it has now been escalated. I can create new gamertag's on the console but dont really want to lose my sons existing gamertag.

    New Gamertag...

    It's possible that the GT is in use but has spaces in it. For example "GAMERTAG" would be the same as "G A M E R T A G". If the Check availability tool says that it is unavailable, you will not be able to use it.

    The gamertag you want is taken as "xx dub", with a space. You'll have to pick a different one, and check for different spacing if you are searching for existing gamertags.

    If you don't have an EA account it should prompt you to create one when starting the game, would this not work?

    The free month is only available during the process of creating a new account. You have to chose yes when it asks to join live. Every console allows up to three 1 month trials for three brand new accounts created on it.
