New Gamertag won't update on some games.

I changed my Gamertag (again) and now on some games it has not updated, it has actually gone back to a previous Gamertag, not the one I just changed it from. The XB1 home screen is updated and Black Ops 3 is but Battlefield 4 is not updated (although Battlelog
is). Might it take a few hours to sync or have I changed it so many times now that I have wrecked it? Not had this problem before. I have tried redownloading profile and hard reset.

Hello, I've been playing on my PC, cross-platform with friends. I decided to change my gamertag from "fartdart1234567" to "". The name was available and I payed the $10 for the change. I purchased
the name change a week ago and it still has not updated, whether I check my account or ask my friends if it changed. I just want to know how long this will take to update and that's all.

... searched this issue and read it can take 24 hours to update. On this site though it did update correctly after a while, but then went back to the incorrect one. GTA 5 has the correct name displayed when the game is loading but the wrong name when you
are on an online server. Same with Battlefield 4 - correct name on main menu, wrong name in game.

What should your gamertag be? You may wish to sign out on all devices and clear your cache, then sign in again. Sometimes tags just take a little more of a push to actually update so hopefully this should happen for you soon. It may take a little while
for the tag change to be in effect on other games, such as Battlefield 4. I would be worried if your tag was not the right one after 3 or 4 days.

Give it some time, try a hard reset on the xbox one and if all else fails, remove your profile from the console then switch off and unplug for a while, then switch it back on and redownload your profile. Hopefully this will work for you

 

Thanks. New GT should be . Have just signed in on this site with correct name (it was wrong about an hour ago) so that's good. Have tried redownloading profile. Will test Battlefield 4 again soon then if still wrong wait a day or so.
