    New Gamertag Rule?


    *Not sure if this is the right place to post this, I don't see any other discussion about it*

    With MS's new rule they're implementing where you must sign in every 5 years to keep your gamertag, does anyone know if that also affects banned gamertag as well? They're banned so obviously they won't be signed in to, so in 5 years will they become available?

    Yeah, but if I changed that gamertag from Mosh1mo to something else, will that make that gamertag available or forever gone? I just want my gamertag for a new console... Not the games as he can keep them.

    Unable to add son to xbox one

    I have this exact same issue, spent hours yesterday on chat support, it has now been escalated. I can create new gamertag's on the console but dont really want to lose my sons existing gamertag.

    Accidentally changed my gamertag!

    Yeah thats the problem with the new gamertag rules gamertags have to be less than 12 characters. There is no way to get the old gamertag back.

    The term is not against the rules. You'll have to pay the $9.99 for a new gamertag or make a new account entirely.

    Yes it would work if the new terms would turn up.. I accepted them once on my account and there was nothing afterwards.. it just led me to my normal account. But on my phone it still says I can't update anything..:-(
