New game successfully downloaded but not launching

Hello,

I successfully downloaded the Ark: Survival Evolved game from the Xbox store. But impossible for me to launch the game. When I try, I have to wait for 15-20 seconds while nothing happens, and the console brings me back to the menu, without launching the
game.

internet explorer keeps downloading

If I try to launch internet explorer from the recent section or from my smartglass app it just tries to download. The only way to successfully launch it is to go into my apps. There is no way to launch it successfully from smartglass.

 

Life is Strange not downloading through game on 360.

What fixed it was going to System -> Storage -> System Items and deleting the Marketplace System Data as well as the 360 System Cache then re-launching the game. After that I had the option to launch the Marketplace from the in-game menu and re-download
it successfully.

 

Try to Power Cycle your console and try again. Let us know if it fixed

Usually after installing new games you need to do a power cycle/hard reset.

Do this by pressing and holding the xbox logo on the front of the console for 10 seconds until it switches off. Wait 30 seconds and switch it back on. Should be able to launch the game then.
