Oh man, love the old hardcore talk. I think to be hardcore gamer there are sever things that need to be in place.

1. Gaming for over 20 years.

2. Play games for fun.

3. Does not consume real like.

4. You buy your own games. (or rent) either way you pay for them.

5. You understand it's "just a game" and don't let it effect your day to day thoughts .

6. You don't care about labels such as "hardcore".

 

So... when a hardcore gamer is shot, you see definite bullet penetration. Thought everyone knew that...

I thought a hardcore gamer played E.T on the Atari 2600 with eyes taped open while sucking all the juice out of a whole habanero pepper and receiving lashes from a cat o nine tails wielded by the guy who played Ogre on Revenge of the Nerds. I can't be the
only one.

 

Hardcore gaming is not drinking the antidote until you've beaten the entire Halo Saga solo on Legendary.

 

When I hear hardcore gamer, I think 2 things.

1. Someone who plays (usually) a single game and enters tournaments to compete for money and possibly other prizes on a regular basis.

2. Someone who spends practically every minute of their spare time gaming, enjoys playing all types of games, and has many different gaming devices.

A hard core gamer is someone who rage quits.

...and breaks things.

A hardcore gamer is someone who has a controller surgically attacthed to thier hand, headset embedded on head, has a IV drip in thier arm

Nah, chief, when a hardcore game gets shot, you only see hit markers, then get noob-tubed by a camper glitched outside the map. Everyone knows this.

 

I have played games since the early 80's, does not make me a hardcore gamer I am just a GAMER, also to the rest your doing it wrong, you gotta put a woman in her place (or bribe her with anything she wants) ;-)

 

I played Fallout 3 that much when it came out, I woke up in the middle of the night screaming because I thought I'd dropped a grenade in the bed and couldn't find it... Scared the crap out of my Wife lol.

Does that make me hardcore enough?
