"hard core" gamers are typically gamers who will play a game for the game itself, not because of the system/graphics/other ancillary concern. If anything, hardcore gamers don't care if a new console is coming out.

So apocacide and Lord dirt whats a hard core game and gamer. Don't let the gt fool you. Was a pc guy for about 7 years from age 12 due to a hard core tech freek neighbor and school mate. Once girls became the new fps for me I rannnnn away from gaming for

may I ask what you consider a hard core gamer? do you like get into the games more than the next person? I am really kind of curious...

Im serious. That phrase "hard core gamer" has always fascinated me. I play Sunset Overdrive and you play sunset overdrive but since you consider yourself a hard core gamer, what make it so? do they really think that being 100% into a game for hours on end
with no breaks makes them hardcore..

What about other games?? is there such a thing as hard core board gamer?? Ill play scrabble with my buddies... but I wear a hat, dark sunglasses and carry a dictionary and read tons of books before hand to pracice..

I seriously do not get that phrase

 

Its a bit like the labels on the old 360, "hardcore" "underground" "pro" all a load of cobblers if you ask me.

 

So I was gonna come in here and say that there is nothing hardcore about being a gamer. Then I read Boas comment and fully support the use of the term in that instance.

 

I play blindfolded, with Chuck Norris. Listening to 90's rave music. That's Hardcore.

TheMapleKid you clearly know the score, may i suggest you wave your hands in the air like you just dont care, whilst having it large with a big fish, then a small fish and a cardboard box. Perhaps you could also ask the whistle posse to "make sum noize"

Boas is correct on what a hardcore gamer is who is not married.

Lofty is correct on what a hardcore gamer is who is married.(Although Dizzy has a higher gamerscore than Lofty so I assume he is giving the stink eye instead of getting it)

I just laugh at anyone who labels themselves as a hardcore gamer. A gamer is a gamer is a gamer. Regardless of genre played or time played.
