Is it only happening with this one friend or are you seeing this happen with several friends? Let's try unfriending them, then power cycle the console fully with these steps: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console Once
you've done that, try adding them again and see if it sticks this time.

I am have the same issue as well. What's a shame is this console has been out more than a year and it's still broken.

Ok this is getting ridiculous, how many times is this going to happen. Cmon Xbox you guys are really slacking...been with you guys five years. I've seen better...
