Hate it to be honest its quite complicated compared to the old set up. It's actually quite off putting and not user friendly at all

 

Its worse than it has been in its current form, takes an age to load now and still not sure what they are trying to achieve with this. All they needed to do mainly (in my opinion of course) was add a few features like quotes & update the gamercards instead
of just removing them, have a link or sign post for the forums on the Xbox dashboard to raise awareness & maybe get more people on here. Sure other improvements would be nice too. I dont post nearly as often as others but feel regular users should have been
asked what they thought the forums needed in order to be improved

Ah well, hopefully this is not its final form, such a shame that it used to be booming but is becoming more of a ghost town all the time

 

I like the pictures now on this forum. But the load times are too long (as usual, no it's not an ISP thing, it's the way they design this site). The only other forum site I participate on is the Planet Coaster forums run by Frontier, which are way better
than this place which is run by the world's largest software company aka Microsoft. On Frontier's site, it has pictures, way better UI, and Frontier staff participate on it too XD, and it has smilies, and you can edit posts up to 30 minutes after posting,
and.... without adding a mandatory edit note as it's optional. But it's nice to see Microsoft make their first or second big change to this forum site since I got Xbox 6 years ago. I guess I won't be on here as much anymore. The people on the Planet Coaster
Forum are friendly and fun, not to say some aren't on here.

It's so slow now it takes too long to load or refresh or go to the next page.

 

Since this will likely be the ONLY post I'll make (at least until they fix what wasn't broken to begin with), I'd better make it count. Prior to the update, I'd bookmarked or favorited the support discussion page. Even when I wasn't logged in, I could still
view everybody's forum tag and profile picture etc. Now, however, unless I hit that sign in button, all I'm seeing are generic silhouettes - or NOBODY's pictures. Further to the whole anonymous, generic aspect: since they removed our Xbox Live info panels
(which showed our current gamerscore and all of those badges or whatever that established the pecking order of the community), all we've got to judge a poster's rep is their name.

Their is no differentiation between long-term posters or newbies or any other Johnny-come-lately who may wander in off the street. This isn't a community it's a backwater, and I'm saddened to see the Xbox affiliation taken down like this. Also, what's with
all those progress dots as you wait (and wait and wait) for the discussion pages to load? Not to mention the garish green BLOB of Xbox logos that greet - or deter - people from entering. The Xbox brand deserves MUCH better than this. I'm out!

 

absolute the worst design I have ever seen !!! I don't know where anything is and I run a fifa league on the UK side and I couldn't even find it !!

A mod linked me to it but it's over 100pages long and you can't even skip straight to the last page you've got to go about 2 pages at a time and it takes forever !!!

Spent 40 minutes trying to find that thread for you & still didn't find it lol.

Had Lofty on the phone asking how the **** you navigate this place now & had to sit in party chat with him while I explained it.

Yeah,great improvement Microsoft,you really out done yourself with this forum "update".

This place is already dead after a week,surely that says something?

 

yeah cheers DB I appreciated the effort you went too I thought as one of the more regulars you'd know but just goes to show how badly they have mucked up the forums

 

Even if they just made it easier to find things it would go a long way.

 

Didn't mind Boozy as I know how much you had put into that thread.

It's not just that it's hard to find things it's the whole look of the place,as I said before it just looks sterile & bland.

All it needed was a few things updating but instead they made it into this mess.

By the time they add whatever it is they want to add there'll be no one here to see it.
