New Forum Look

I quite like the new look, first day I saw it I hated it, looked unfinished but thanks to the sheer bare-bones basic nature it seems to look good on a tablet and smartphone

 

Anyone who understands website coding should take a look at the page source - to say it is a complete mess and completely overloaded with javascript and unnecessary crap is probably the understatement of the year!

My personal view on the forums are that they are pretty okay. I am with Vote on the star system, that was just useless. I mean it felt like winning the lottery when you go through a thread and saw no 1 stars, but that's just me. There's a slew of problems
but hopefully they get ironed out sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed eh.



Seriously though peeps, keep it up with the feedback. It is appreciated.

It'd help if the right people, you know, the ones that made this mess had even a vague idea what they were doing, as Lout pointed out one look at the page source shows just how clueless they are. The coding is nothing short of horrendous.

 

First time I've been on in days and still there's no one posting lol. This is a mess and it looks horrible.

 

I still think it's too white and hurts the eyes lol

Mind you the last few days it's ran smoother for me, no error messages etc ( just jinxed it now lol )

 

it would be nice if the forum developers/coders actually got involved themselves on the forums and kept us updated and respond to feedback. Other forums usually ask for ideas before going forward with changes and then set up a dedicated feedback section.

 

I'm getting 'Uh oh...that s' in quite a few people's gamer profile , plus the backward writing can be a right pain in the *** !!!

 

The drop down menu to get to the different forums has now disappeared for me I had to go to 'Your discussions' to be able to get here!!

Then after all that time they give us this new forum, which I'm still not convinced is not just a 'theme' on top of the old one, which has most of the problems of the old one and a few new ones on top.

 

@voteDC It's a shame really as it's just standard common sense. Yes, I also think that this is just a 'skin' on top of the old forum. They should literally start from scratch with the whole of Xbox.com and rebuild so it is more integrated with Xbox One and
Smartglass.

So much opportunity they are missing out on.
