New Forum Look

Are there any threads which give us a progress report on what's going on with the forums?

 

Not as far as i know.Have to say,seems there's a lot less people posting on the forums since the update.

I think it's much cleaner looking than before but MS are known for crap community sites. halowaypoint.com is a joke to navigate and searching is utterly useless.

I think this iteration will be better than the last but I was expecting much more. XBox One integration for a start

 

Having to write another post because I can't edit the one above. Why is this. Sometime you can edit your posts but mostly you can't.

Please fix mr forum developer guy

 

It really does seem they have gone backwards. It feels like it's half completed.

I was just replying to another post elsewhere, merrily typing away, but when I looked up at the screen everything I'd typed was backwards... letter for letter backwards.... wishing I'd just posted it as it was, lol.

^ Sounds like demonic possession! I'm guessing somewhere during the transition from the old forums to new, they opened up some kind of hellish coding vortex!!

Is it just me or is anyone else getting a random "We are Legion!" message flashing up everytime they sign in?

 

Tried to quote/reply to another post just and it did the same thing... every letter coming out backwards... so broken.. so disappointing :-(

 

These forums are dying a very slow and painful death

 

^^ have to agree, trouble is most forums on the net are just the same as this at the moment, full of fanboys slating each other and PC overlords coming to chip in their tuppence too.

No one seems to remember what our hobby is all about, a little bit of downtime away from real life to chill and have a bit of a laugh.

Otherwise you need to go to the Forums Home page (Results in Xbox - Microsoft Community) and scroll to the bottom.

As for the overall look, it reminds me a lot of the Microsoft Answers pages. Which I was never particularly fond of when I spent some time there. Not everything is the same, but it's very clearly had an influence on the new-look Xbox forums.

 

It's nice to know where they are but it's so counter intuitive that people simply won't bother.

And who can blame them to be perfectly honest.
