"New Followers" Notification is Not Working For Me

For some reason xbox hasnt been given me notifications when someone adds me.

Notifications are always on. All other types of notifications work. "New Followers" is set to on. I've also tried "On, but off during video" but that doesnt work.

I know for a fact that i've been added by people while online. I cant tell you how many times ive met a new person, added them, and had to check their profile on the smartglass app to see if it reads "You + x" under friends. Nowadays I look on my phone right
after I add somebody to confirm that they followed me despite receiving no notification.

What can I do to fix this?

Since the Xbox One update (Windows 10) everything works fine, exept "new followers" I used to see them, but now I don't(I know that they should show up in Activity alerts, but they don't). I looked up what to do to fix it , enable it in notification (was
already activated), tryed a hard reset/reboot (still didn't changed anything), so as now I'm asking in this Forum to get help, to try to fix it.

(if that helps, or change anything, my Xbox One is in french)

[/quote] Yeah, and if you can simply categorize each, it would actually resolve the friends/followers issue, too. Simply make a category for all followers who are not friends, and problem solved. Either way, these are all simple changes to the new system,
which overall I think could be a lot better than the old system.

You don't get notifications for followers but you look in your activity Alerts in the snap panel they are shown there.

You might also want to come to terms with the fact, some people might not want to add you back. At the end of the day they might not notice, and may take a few days.

.....you get a notification when somebody adds you as a friend aka follows you.

 

Since Xbox 1 Launched, for me, the dash brings up a pop up box even when X friends come online. We're no longer friends and not following each other, yet the dash always shows a pop up notification when they come online. I agree with Lei Fang, it must be
a glitch. I like like the Windows 10 feel of Xbox 1's UI which it has now, but I'm still getting those notifications of when X friends come online.

Happy for you to post a link to a list of notifications, but its never been the case where you get a notification when someone follows you.

The system wasn't built with the same concept as the 360, there is no expectation of mutual friendship.

 

Actually I got one notification when someone followed me. It appeared in the left side bar notifications menu when I checked there. I'm NOT in the preview program thingy.

 

At least if your going to accuse MS of not fixing a glitch, post evidence that there is supposed to be a notification.

There is an option for it, but I am assuming terminology is mixed, you get notified in the activity feed, not as a notification that pops up like an achievement at the bottom of the screen, that's always been the case.
