    New EDGE BROWSER IS GARBAGE


    I don't understand the reasoning behind updating the Edge Browser for Xbox One? The Xbox is not touch screen, so why such a drastic change that leans toward touch screen devices? My EDGE BROWSER is completely broken now! It
    will not open links and crashes constantly. It deeply concerns me that you guys have some of the most talented coders in Silicone Valley and from all that talent comes the worst garbage since Windows Vista! Why not let us install Google's Chrome Browser
    on our Xbox? I wouldn't even use the Edge Browser, ever, if it were not the mandatory browser on the Xbox One! Please fix it? It's better than not having any kind of browser functionality.

    No, there is no new Edge browser for Xbox One yet. There has been no news on if or when there will be a new version of Edge available for the console.

    Are you having trouble viewing content in your browser on Xbox One? And are you comparing settings against the new Edge on a PC to Xbox One? I don't believe they have updated Xbox One's browser to the new Edge yet.

    Hi,

    It is a 'complete' browser. It doesn't need Flash support as Flash is pretty much a dead format now. All of the major websites have now switched over to HTML5 for embedded video's. If a site you're trying to view has Flash video, it needs to change to
    HMTL5 to keep up with the times.

    Apple phones and iPads don't support flash, neither do current Android and Chrome OS devices. All of these are considered to have modern 'Complete browsers'.

    Flash is obsolete.
