New digital xbox one download physical games

Hi,

Can you confirm that your new one X is connect to xbox live ?

Do you have the problem with physical game ou digital ? In the two cases you have to download the digital version of the game to have the Xbox One version. For physical, normaly it's automatic when you insert the 360 CD in the console.

As stated above by Xbox Forums Ambassador
DrifterX22, at this time there is no way for you to transfer any physical copies over to your new console. You can technically install any games onto your console, however, without the digital fingerprint [license] that is applied to your account when you
purchase a game digitally, you will be unable to launch this game. With physical media, the disc you purchased carries the license, so without that copy, you will be unable to launch your game.

I know most retailers will have some sort of deals on the "standard" S consoles with a disc drive bringing them very close to the "standard" digital S pricing for Black Friday, I'd always recommend one with a disc drive over one without it!

look for the best Black Friday deal and buy him a one with a disc drive.

Disc and digital games are two entirely separate things.You would need to purchase the games again digitally for them. to work. You won't lose any of your progress though.
