New design labs controller regonising xbox one headset but not picking up audio.

On wednesday i recieved my new controller that i ordered on the xbox design lab. I went to plug in the original headset that came with the xbox one, saw that it was being regonised in a party chat but the microphone wasnt working.

I still had the orginal controller and tested the headset with it and it works fine. I dont know whether there is a setting thats changed somewhere or if theres a problem with the new controller.

On a side note i have a wireless headset (Venom vibration xt+) and need to aquire a 3.5 jack lead. Is there a specific one a need to get or will any do the job?

Expensive controller wont output game audio through afterglow lvl 3 headset

i bought a design lab controller but my afterglow lvl 3 headset will not output game audio to my ears but my cheaper wired conteoller will what gives?

Xbox One Stereo Headset - Audio only coming from one side

Bought the new Xbox One Stereo Headset today. Updated the controller - hooked it up and noticed that it only plays audio from one side. Has this happened to anybody else? I'm thinking my unit must just be defective. Unless this is by design
and the stereo headset isn't really stereo.

If you continue to have issues with the DL controller I would suggest setting up a repair order if it's still under warranty.
