    New dashboard


    Ever since the new dashboard was installed I have not had any reason to hate this xbox, but after I got the update I have been having all types of problems that I have never even had before the update. Some problems being not being able to connect to parties,
    not being able to play online, and not being able to do anything related to the Internet. Now do not misinterpreted me as hating the xbox. I simply am just displeased with this occurrence, and I hope that it will be solved soon. To my understanding I am not
    the only one having this problem. I have found a temporary fix to it though, but it forces you to do a full system restore. After the system restore I am only able to download one game again before it starts acting up again. I believe that I have found the
    problem though, bit it is out of my hands because I believe that it is the xbox trying to update itself even though the update is still on it.

    Please respond to this if there is a fix underway, and before I am given a link for a troubleshooting page I would like you to know that I have already gone through all of the steps, and I have not had any luck

    The update messed up the way the xbox and the router talks to each other imo , or the way the router talks with the live servers maybe, ...are you , by any chance , connecting with a "gateway" from you isp ? (they seemed to be hit the hardest ) either
    way , you could list what kind of equipment you got and your isp ....and some said the last update helped , some say it didn't , cant say if there is a "fix underway"...

    Yes I am using a gateway, and I don't know what you quite mean by equipment.

    well , by equipment I meant what kind of modem and or router , brand and model ...and who's your isp...

    My isp is frontier and it is dsl, and what ever their modem is that they give as a base model

    some , for reasons unknown , have said simply switching to wireless worked for them , if you want to try that...
