  1. New Dashboard Update Bricked My Console- Preview Program

Ok, so my Xbox One has been running games and apps in a very inconsistent and unreliable manner ever since the update. Games freeze for a few moments, sound glitches occur, some games wouldn't load at all. First thing I thought to do was hard reset my console.
That didn't work. In fact, ever since I tried that, I'll be lucky if I can make it to the dashboard at all. After a few tries, I made it to the dashboard and decided I'd try a factor reset. So I set everything up, things seem to be going smoothly. So I download
Mega Man Anniversary Collection because it takes up very little space and I can test to see if the factory reset fixed anything. Unfortunately, the game simply wouldn't load. Now I'm almost consistently running in to the issue where I can't load the dashboard.
I'll get stuck on the loading screen, and if I get past it, I'll only get to a black screen. I saw another user post an almost identical issue. It also seems like neither of us can access the "Early Access" forum. I've been a member of the preview program
for a while now, months even. It seems unlikely that my account wasn't processed and that I'm unrecognized. Please, any help is very much appreciated.

    Regards,

    -Alex

  2. I can't figure out what happened

Did you update to the new home screen via the preview program? Many of us are having problems with it. Pretty much bricked my console.

Cannot access the preview program forum.

Pretty sure my Xbox got bricked thanks to the new dashboard update. Keep trying to access the preview program forum but it always says group not found. How do I gain access to the forums?

  5. I'm experiencing some of the same symptoms, however, I haven't seen the Dashboard at all since yesterday. I believe that the preview program update came through yesterday.

For access to the preview forums, a member of official support will have to manually get you access after they verify that you are in the program. After they do, the link is:

    forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx

The support team works M-F, so it may be a couple days before you get access. They also work oldest to newest, so bumping your post may actually make it take longer.

Make sure you also report any issues via the Preview app on your console to make sure that the preview team has all the relevant data from your console.

Also, if you haven't already, try holding the Xbox logo to turn off the console, and unplugging it for 5 minutes.

  8. New Dashboard Update Bricked My Console- Preview Program

Same thing here, was playing some Destiny last night. Took a break and soft closed the xbox (you know speed boot enabled) and went outside, when I got and turned on my console it was coming back as if from a hard reset ( I checked there was no power interruption
or anything ) and there you go black screen of doom or rather the dashboard won't load while some other things like if I hold my hold xbox home button it does show me the menu to close my controller or xbox...however that does not happen all the time. I hard
reset the console multiple times, disconnect all cords etc even left it out of everything all night as I went to bed *** off. I return in the morning only to uncover the same old issue. Now I am not even sure I am connected to the internet even cause I used
wireless...I did connect it to the cable but so far nothing, not sure if anything is happening. Even plugging and unplugging my external drive ain't giving it a fix. Right now ill just leave it connected and in stand by mode before heading off to work, see
if something magical happens while I'm gone to fix this dashboard glitch or whatever the hell is going on. It is really frustrating. Plus yes I am part of the preview program and I tried all the suggested fixes from multiple sites, so far...zippo. Anyone have
a way to fix this without me throwing my xbox out the window, well let's just say I'll be extremely grateful along with the rest of the folks here.

Make sure you check out the preview forums. The YouTube thing was a known issue, but 2 updates have since been released that should have fixed that. Each of you will want to make a new post in the preview forums describing your setup (wireless/wired, external
drive/no external, etc) and what issue you're having and what you've tried. Even though these issues seem related, they may not be and the preview team needs to have your information so they can prevent a repeat in the future and be able to help you fix your
    issue.

  11. KenH24, we would have done that a long time ago but while we are all experiencing the same issue we all also can't access the preview forums because "group not found".

Sometimes permissions for the preview forums must be granted manually by official support. If anyone else doesn't have access, you should create a post here for support to get you access.

New Dashboard Update Bricked My Console- Preview Program

I have been suffering the same issues they started, for me, yesterday (11/1/2015). I know that my internet is up and running, my router is fine, the XBox One is connecting (verified by the check connection and check multiplayer), everything appears fine.
Except when I attempt to run games. It appears that the system locks-up the game, or app, whenever it attempts to establish a connection to a third-party server, i.e.: checking for saved games, etc. This means that games that require access to 3rd party
server, such as any Tell Tale game, Mad Max, etc. Won't work due to the need to connect to a server, nor will it allow games such as Halo 5 to successfully save. After encountering the issue, the dashboard then is unable to launch any of my games. It is
a little bit of a relief to know that this issue is experienced by other system owners than myself, indicating that it's more a system software issue than hardware related. Hopefully, there is somebody online whom can provide real answers/solutions.

  14. Just an update... I wanted to mention that there was an update on my Xbox One after I went to bed last night. Between shifts at work, I tried to use my Xbox to show my sister what was happening, and it froze on the green screen. HOWEVER, I noticed on NeoGAF
that there was an update that seemed to be aimed at fixing some of the problems I had. Lo and behold, after a hard reset, my console seems to be working OK now. But the jury's still out... I'm in the process of redownloading all of my games that were lost
in the factory reset. I'll post back later with more results.

  15. Mine still doesn't work. Still stuck on a black screen after the green load-up screen. I can't do a factory reset on my Xbox because I don't have a USB drive to download and do the whole process thing. This really sucks.
