New Dashboard Fall 2017 Discussion

I'm sure I can't be the only one that can't stand the new dashboard. If I'm being honest every dashboard update feels like a less intuitive downgrade from the previous, this is just the first time I've disliked it enough to say something.

First, the frequency of these updates is absurd. I can't help but feel like when you finally get used to a new dashboard you hear they are dropping a new one in a few months time...

Second, how is this update in any sense an upgrade? For example, if you want to see your, friends, it takes an extra step then it did before.

The biggest offender, in my opinion, is the new style of the sidebar that pops up the alignment of the nav items don't even fit all within the box, my profile icon is hanging off to the left and it's just more complicated than ever to navigate. Also, what
is the point of offsetting it a bit on the left? It just pointlessly takes up more space on the screen. Not to mention how obnoxious the huge borders are now over whatever Icon your currently selected is.

Xbox please fix this. I've been a loyal Xbox owner for well over ten years. Between this, the fact I'm on my second Xbox One with a broken disc reader (in less then two years), the fact you've released 3 versions of the same console in the last four years,
and a host of other issues not even getting started on the weak lineup of exclusives has this customer just about ready to jump the fence with the right push...

when will i get my update for xbox live beta

Avatar Update? Is it still a thing?

At E3 2017 Major Nelson showed us the new Avatars and said that they would be released Fall 2017, and yet we have not heard anything of them since. Are they still going to be released 2017, and if so when????

 

Other than the community/activity feed being a bit of a mess i'm fine with the latest update.

Mind you,i've had it longer than most so have got used to it.
