New controller....now mic does not work

    New controller....now mic does not work


    Had to get a new xbox controller as mine stopped working.

    Brought it home and put in batteries. Synced it with Xbox One and then did the update like it asked. Started playing no issues.

    Buddy gets on and we try to part up. I have a Turtle Beach XO mic. Never really had any issues. Xbox says that it does not recognize a mic for me and to go to device setting. Device setting shows my controller and it does not need an update.

    It is like my mic just does not exist. Any thoughts?

    when i put in my mic in the xbox 1 controller the mic dorst not work and does not shown mic in the controller can u help me please?

    Mic isn't picking up any game audio, but is fine in party chat.

    So, I don't know why my mic/controller is doing this, but I recently bought a new controller and my mic isn't playing any game audio through it. I've connected it to other controllers and my mic does play game audio through those other controllers, but not
    my new one. Party chat seems to work fine on the new one tho which is weird. Also when I look at the settings for the Mic, it doesn't show mixer under it's audio settings on the new controller, but it does appear on my old ones. So I'm not sure what's happening
    with it, or if the new controller is just defective, cause it worked earlier until I disconnected my mic from it.

    Xbox mic

    Generally they do not come with a mic anymore, but it does depend on what package you buy. The nice thing about the new controllers is the mic input is now the standard 3.5 mm so it should work with most mics on the market

    Home Page of my XBOX 1S shows a muted mic...HELP!!!

    I have tried many ways and several times to unmute the mic icon on the top right corner of my homepage. My headphones, nor my mic works. My controller is wireless but my headphones/mic plugs directly into the xbox controller. It was working fine
    a few days ago and now it's not working at all. The headset is new. Any ideas?
    Try turning the xbox off and then turn the console back on with your mic already plugged into your controller. If that doesnt work try going into settings and see if updating the controller works

    Default headset oddly not working

    There is a problem that is, if you switch your Xbox One on with the mic already plugged into your controller, then the mic will not work. But however your issue sounds different. It sounds to me like the auxiliary port on your Xbox One controller is broken
    (the place where you plug your mic into). Does it have dust or any visible problems, if not then you might have to look into getting a new controller.

    Hi, thank you for the response. Yes, the headset and mic work with another controller with an older firmware.

    The headset, once plugged into the controller with newer firmware, there is absolutely no audio from anything and the mic does not work. The controller does not recognize the headset at all.

    Please note, the controller in question is a customized controller from Microsoft.

    Does the mic work on other controllers? Are the batteries fully charged? If you are using a wireless pad, low batteries will cause the Mic to stop working.
