New Controller Firmware - Titanfall Limited Controller already shipped with?

Hi everybody reading this,

i do have a simple question that may hopefully be answered.

As the new March-XO1-Update brings the feature to update the Controllers via USB, do I need to update the Titanfall-Limited-Controller as well? Or are they already delivered with the "new" firmware?

The same controller is available at Gameseek for £5.00 less and expected in stock tomorrow. Is this the same controller then?

I think there is no system-check of the firmware on the controller connected? So every controller "can" be updated but it doesn't state anywhere you "must/should" because of old firmware.

Poor implementation at all BUT it is already an improvement you CAN update the controller firmware.

I will check at home if the already updated controller is allowed to be updated again to proof my suggestion.

From MS support site: •If you try to update a controller that was already updated, the system will check the controller and proceed to the success screen within a few seconds to indicate it is already updated.
