New controller and XO TB Headsets. How is it going to work?

So I just found out that there is going to be a new Xbox One Controller which includes a 3.5mm headphone port. The days of using the Headset Adapter are over! That's a good thing. But wait, how am I going to use my Turtle Beach XO Seven without the
Headset Adapter?

First of all, I don't even know if I will be able to plug in the headset cable in the new controller at all. If that is possible though, I will not be able to change the voice chat and game volume because I can only do that on the Headset Adapter, and that
thing will disappear soon. You see my problem

My question is; will the new controller replace the old one completely, or is that unknown at this time? Will I still be able to buy the old controller in a few years with the special port to use the Headset Adapter? If not, I wasted €150 on the headset

Questions about headset please answer

Those TB Adapter are mainly for their own headsets it does say they might not fully work with other headsets I would update using the TB Adapter with your xo then just see how the other headset works.

Headset/Mic Not Working

Are you using the Turtle Beach audio controller and/or Microsoft chatpad adapters too? If so, try unplugging them and connect the headset directly to the controller if it has a 3.5mm plug. I had an issue with one or both of those with my TB XO Four for
awhile and I had to direct connect the headset until a new dashboard update was released.

I'm leaning towards the TB XO Seven's for next gen, will be my first gaming headset, was half considering getting a set of Tritton 720+ cause it looks like they work on HDMI passthrough but I figured I'll go new and I'll go licensed.

Just about any headset will work with the One and in all cases that I know of you'll need the adapter to use the mic.

I don't own the Senn but have both Astro's and TB XO Seven. Astro's win hands down, the sound is horrible on the TB's in comparison but it's to be expected I guess because the TB is powered by the controller.

im using very old TB x11s and dont get this issue.

my only issue is that i cannot control both game and headset volume as they only work on one of the dials.

no biggie as some XO 7s will delivered soon
