Hello If I purchase a NEW and UNOPENED system (series x) from a third party on eBay will I be able to purchase a extended warranty when I register my device?

it will be still classed as second hand, warranties don't transfer, you would need to protect your system with a third party insurance policy.

1 year standard warranty for consoles bought as new.

3 year RROD warranty for consoles bought as new.

You can register your console either on this website or by phoning support. That way you can keep an eye on your warranty status if the need arises.

Good news! The console is warrantied for 1 year. As you've only had the console for 6 or so weeks, set up another repair.

They dont extend the warranty. They either keep the existing warranty or give you a 90 day warranty for the new console which ever is longer
