    New Console Controller Syncing Issues


    Purchased a 1Tb Xbox One bundle and have two separate new (with headset jack) controllers. Set up Xbox One with USB TV tuner and downloaded all system updates. Both controllers have fully charged battery packs (and I have tried batteries) and will work
    when connected via the USB port (they have also updated) but neither controller has ever been able to wirelessly connect (before or after being plugged into USB). Yes, I have tried the sync buttons on both the controller and the consoler; yes, I have tried
    a hard reboot. Sucks if I immediately have to deal with the giant hassle of an exchange / return. Anybody with any other thoughts about whether this is a software issue which will be fixed or other things to try?

    No sync lights at all

    Console does turn on without any apparent issues other than controller syncing and lights

    Do you have any other issues syncing other controllers? Can this controller sync to any other consoles?

    Plug them in via usb and assign them to a profile, then unplug can take 5 or so seconds after the unplug.

    Nope, assigned but still only connect when wired directly via USB... Any other thoughts!

    Controllers...

    Each controller is uniquely coded with an ID... The controller, that comes with your console, will be recognised instantly, as the console already knows that unique ID of controller from factory...

    When you buy any Official Secondary Controller from a store, that Controllers Unique ID, has to saved or synced on the console, so the console can recognise it & knows next time, that the second controller is now paired or used with the console & will sync
    straight away, on another quadrant etc...

    You need to have the Original controller (From Console), turned off & then try & sync the new second controller...

    Then, Reset console & confirm..

    It may take a few goes, to try & sync the new controller too...
