    New computer build getting error message trying to play on Game Pass


    Hi,

    I recently put together a new computer, got it all set up and installed. Linked up my xbox game pass with the new build, but when I try to run a game I am receiving the error message "CLiP license device ID does not match the device ID in the bound device license."

    I can still play games on my old computer, and on my Legion 5i laptop, just not on this computer. Any ideas?

    Have you tried signing out of the Microsoft Store and then signing back in again...apparently that sometimes fixes this error for other applications? Could also try doing a Windows Store reset from Windows settings.

    Also maybe try signing out of your Microsoft account and then signing back into that too.

    Apologies if these are basic things you have already tried

    FYI, just opened the Xbox app on laptop and was able to run Forza 5 with no issues. Closed it out, closed xbox app, shut off laptop. Still can't run from this new computer.
