    Game Pre-orders

When purchasing a game pre-order, funds may no longer be deducted from your account immediately (depending on when the game pre-order is purchased). Pre-order funds will now be deducted from your account 10 days or less prior to the game’s release date.

    :)

Question About Preorder on Xbox Live Store

Log in to account.xbox.com and under Billing/Billing history

You can change how to pay for the pre-ordered items. against the Pre-Order item there will be a "change how you pay" button.

Add your new card to your account and then you can select it against the pre-orders.

@Blue, you can't change the time on your console, or you would be able to do that with a digital pre orders so thats a none arguement.

I'd personally prefer the money to come out straight away, but I guess this makes it easier when cancelling pre-orders. Not that I pre-order games often anyway.

I dont usually do it until within that 10 day period anyway, but i think its better for those that want beta access but dont need to dump all their cash straight away.

I rather them take the cash straight away. Saves missing out due to lack of funds. (like the week before payday for example)

  7. I'd rather they take the money straight away, that way I can pre-order games a few months in advance, but spread the cost out if I pre-order a different game a month. Now, considering there are two games I want that are out in October, that means a hefty
sum coming out New changes to billing on Digital pre orders. :D

Personally I don't like my money in their hands long before I received my goods. I like it but can understand some of your positions.

I prefer it straight away. Doing it this way, someone might think they have more in their account than they actually do. Then if they buy something the remaining balance will come out n their credit card.

  11. I agree with the majority of posters here. Straight away is the best way
    IMO.

You can still put cash into your MS account before you pre order and pretend you paid already if you want though. I don't think devs should be using your money months before any game release. Unless it's a Kickstarter.

They just refunded me my controller money I would rather have had them keep it.

Im sure theres something about this under the New Zealand Consumer Gaurantees Act too. Why have XBL charge you money months in advanced for a game you wont get until it releases. Youre literally paying for something which you dont get up front. I think Microsoft
are making these changes due to Australia and NZ legal rights maybe.

Maybe its ok for them to ask for like 10% or so deposit. I think EB Games and JB Hi Fi do this. But 100% is only if you love the game or if its due out in like 30 days.
