new bundle with dance central spotlight qr code only gives trial

Another who has been following this thread also for 2 weeks in hope of an answer and it's still not working. This is enough for me to return the system.

For those of you who may be new to this thread and if you haven't already, I would recommend trying out these troubleshooting steps below to see if we can get the full game to download.

• Delete Dance Central Spotlight.
• Power cycle your console by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
• Try redownloading the game.
  • When you go to redownload the game, make sure you are signed in with the correct account that redeemed the code originally.
    

If you're still having an issue after trying these steps, please send me a private message when you have a chance including the code you redeemed. To private message me, click on the envelope icon labeled "private message" under my post.

Contacted Xbox Support again today to follow up on the support request I logged with them two weeks ago as I still had not heard back from the Advocacy team. After going through all the same explanations for the third time again and all the same troubleshooting
steps for the third time again the support rep then tried to tell be that the bundled version of Dance Central Studio was a trial only. Well I shot them down over that pretty quickly then for the third time again referred them to this forum thread for. All
they said was it's escalated and they will contact me when it is fixed and MS are working with the developers on a fix.. It could be 2 to 3 weeks. Personally I don't think the support rep knows anything about it, nor do I suspect MS are working with Harmonix
on this issue as Harmonix mention nothing about it. Loosing more hope day by day on this and suspect MS are just waiting for us to either give up or fork out another $10 odd dollars to buy what we already own. At this stage Miss Diggz on this forum has been
the only one trying to help but I am yet to hear back from here after sending her the redemption code she asked for a few days back. Fingers crossed...

this is the explanation I have been given.

My Windows Live ID was associated to Spain in the moment of purchase and the Prepaid code was linked to Colombia where I bought my XBOX One.

That is the reason why the activation was unsuccessful and there is NO WAY to fix this.

Has any of you the same situation that mine? Different Country in your WLID from the Purchasing Country?

I contacted Microsoft. They had no solutions, so they referred me to Harmonix (the developers) and this is what they told me:

Hello!

A solution for your issue has been suggested.

We are sorry you are having a bit of a run-around with Microsoft. As the publisher, Microsoft handles all code issues for Dance Central games, including faulty codes that come in a bundle with their console. Harmonix does not have any way of troubleshooting
these codes without going through Microsoft ourselves.

So...is this means that we have nothing to do but wait for microsoft step itself?

Xbox support finally helped resolve this issue for me. In the end that got me to purchase the game again then refunded the money back straight away. I didn't even have to re-install Dance Central Studio. This was the fourth time I had contacted Xbox support.
Each time I got different answers and caused for the issue, ranging from "Didn't the retailer tell you the version you bought a trial version", "you need to go back to the developer for support", "you need to go back to the retailer for support", "just uninstall
the game and re-install it", "factory reset you Xbox One console and re-download it", "it's a known issue and we are working on it", "the issue has been raised with the Advocacy team and they will contact you shortly" and "we can't get you to buy the game
and refund it because you bought it from a retailer and not from the Microsoft online Store". Well apart from the "we are working on the issue still" response, the rest were all misinformation provided by Xbox support personal who either didn't care about
my issue, just wanted to close another ticket off to make their call desk stats look good, or don't have a frigging clue what they are doing (or all of the above). And I never did get that call from the advocacy team as promised. Very disappointed in Xbox
support process and the varying responses and excuses given. It's a great console but support sucks.

Anyway, after getting that out of my system, I suggest those of you who still need this resolved is to keep contacting Xbox support to request they let you re-purchase the game and then refund your money back and hopefully you will get someone who will let
you do that. I got the refund back to my PayPal account almost immediately. If they say they can't do it, or try and give you the run around or ask you to explain the issue, just get them to read this forum thread which they find quite illuminating.

Thanks Ozzie Hobo. Gotta think, how much my time is worth going after Xbox for a $10 game, already spent a couple of hours with various customer support people. Probably just file this under "Another reason to not buy the next gen Xbox when the time comes".

 

I've just received another code to redeem. But not from "Miss Diggz" but from one of the crew members. It was 5 days after i write again to the support. This time it realy works! So you just have to struggle with them till you get the same solution. Omg...2
