    New box wireless headset - Not good for PC use


    Not sure where to share this feedback, but I wanted to share it somewhere.

    Got the headset yesterday and started testing it out. I do a lot of Loom videos on my Mac/PC, and I also game. I wanted to get a headset that I could use for work and play. This headset wasn't the right choice. It all boils down to the fact that whenever you turn on the headset, it turns on your Xbox. Then whenever the xbox turns off, it turns off the headset.

    Picture this: I take the headset to the office. I've paired it to my computer via Bluetooth. I turn the headset on, and I hear my Xbox feet away turning itself on.... Okay, annoying but I'll live with it. I start recording some videos for work, when suddenly, after a while, the headset just automatically shuts off.

    My question:

    • Is there a way to disable the feature that turns on the xbox when turning on the headset?
    • Is there a way to prevent the headset from going to sleep?
    • Any way to prevent the headset from connecting to the xbox and just have it use the Bluetooth radio?
    • Could the preview team test this feature in the beta ring?

    Headset recommendations

    There are no wireless headsets as of yet but hopefully soon. Wired headsets can be a little tricky. If you have a headset that you used on your 360 you can use that you just need to buy the adapter for it. It will cost you $30. If your looking for a new
    headset all together then Turtle Beach is a good brand. Right now I just use the $25 headset that came with the console until a Microsoft wireless headset is released.

    Yes, you can use the Xbox One wireless headset chat mixer on PC if you have the USB wireless adapter.

    To do this, you will need to follow these steps:

    1. Connect the USB wireless adapter to your PC.
    2. Turn on your Xbox One wireless headset and hold down the power button on the headset until it starts flashing. This puts the headset in pairing mode.
    3. Press the pairing button on the USB wireless adapter until the LED starts flashing.
    4. Once the LED on the USB wireless adapter stops flashing and stays lit, the headset is paired with your PC.
    5. Open the Xbox Accessories app on your PC, and click on the "Xbox One Wireless Controller" device.
    6. From there, you can adjust the chat mixer settings to your liking.
    Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to use the chat mixer on your Xbox One wireless headset with your PC.

    Seems as though the only true wireless headset from Triton is the Warhead. The new pro+ headset looks really good and its $200.

    Oh no, I mean. Bluetooth 4.2, Bluetooth 5.0 etc.
    Unfortunately Wireless Headset can be a bit tricky or not work as intended on PCs with a lower Bluetooth version.

    I was checking a similar thread, it seems this issue is solved using the Xbox Wireless adapter or connecting directly the headset via USB, on PC the wireless headset have some issues when you want to use sound and microphone at the same time
