New backwards compatible games

I am just wondering when new 360 games will be added to the backwards compatible list. Currently the list only contains a bunch of indie games and maybe 1 or 2 games that aren't indie games. (I do not own any of the 360 games on the list). I am just curious
to know when more popular games will be added (The ones on top of the voting list)?

It will be backwards compatible to some extent. I mean it's safe to say that huge games such as Halo and Gears of War will be backwards compatible.

hey is the new 360 x box backwards compatible? Can it play the qriginal xbox games and where can i find the program to make it backwards compatible

 

I am wondering if they add any of those games before the full release to the public this fall. They might update the preview with more games but I think the preview games were mainly to test how thing work and work out bugs. I could see, maybe, some COD
games just to test online functionality with the emulation. But they probably do not need that so they definitely could wait.

I hope they get some of the popular games out for preview so that they pull some of those downloads off the full release. Creates a staggered type release with preview members already downloading those titles.

 

They just added a couple a couple days ago patience grasshopper rememebr it is a beta not full retail release yet

 

I wouldn't be surprised not to see any more till full release what new games been added

 

I would also like to know because as of right now the games on the list are junk besides for a couple. I understand its not Microsoft's fault whoever has the rights to the games controls whether they will be backwards compatible or not, but its still very
annoying. Microsoft needs to really start pushing these companies and doing as much as they can to move forward.

 

I don't get why everyone wants this feature so bad yes I'm excited to finally play stick of truth because it came out after I got rid of my 360 but other than that I'll probably never play a 360 game again

 

The reason people, and MS is excited about BC is.

1) It helps to sell consoles.

2) It adds titles to the X1 games library.

3) Because of all the above, it means that the X1 is viewed by some consumers (Me included) as a crossplatform system that both current and past gen gamers can all enjoy on a single system.

So, speaking ONLY for myself. BC, currently is a win win for MS, IF they can continue to add say 3 AAA titles a month, (Halo 4, Reach, COD~?, and Halo 3 for example) along with a good number of arcade and indi titles.

But if it turns out the way it did for the 360 being BC to the OG Xbox (2001 - 2005 model) And they stop altogether. Which is what I think will happen, and they blame it on publishers again. Well, we'll find out by the number of AAA 360 titles becoming BC
by March 2016. Which I intend to watch closely.

 

I do agree with you that it's real value will be if it's an ongoing scheme that continues until the 360 life cycle ends, at the moment it's appreciated (I got all my required titles, so after those its all bonus for me) but I would like to see it grow and
add titles that are established favourites across 360 genres.
