Changing to original avatar

Hello Knapie,

I'd be happy to provide some input!

I believe the new update separated the new Xbox Avatar Editor App and there is also the Xbox Original Avatar App where you can edit your original avatar and select it to use from there.

Go into the Original Avatar App and see if you can set your original avatar to display from there.

Avatars?

I very well may be wrong but I thought I heard that the Windows 10 update will have avatars more so?Click to expand...

this is correct they are being added to the xbox app in windows 10 and as far as I heard it will be in the xbox in some fashion with the redesign they also opened the avatar stuff up for L: id@xbox with the new update so some avatar games should be coming out

Hi Richard,

If your console is set up to get automatic updates, we'll update your console when one is available. If not, you'll be prompted to update.

If the update hasn't been prompted, we just have to manually prompt it to go through. To do so follow these steps:

Do a
Soft Factory Reset as personal experience I've had to go through this step myself and it worked.

This will reset your Xbox but
keeping your games and apps. The purpose of this is that when you're setting it up it's going to ask you
"We found previous settings do you want to apply settings or manual set up" you would want to choose
Manual

Side Note:
It is veryimportant
to make sure you have a secure network connection and know the primary email/password to the account before resetting the Xbox.

The app gets updated every time there is a new system update. As for new gear for the Avatar, I don't know, as I haven't changed my Avatar since the new one came out.

There is an ‘Xbox Original Avatars’ app and a ‘Xbox Avatar Editor’ app

if you want to keep your 360 Avatar as is you can download the original avatars app and customize through there and then vis versa with the Xbox one version if you would like an updated/new look for your Avatar. Both can be found througu the microsoft store
for free or through games and apps search bar.
