New avatar system

At E3 2017, we got news of a new avatar system that looked great. A year later, some people have seen this through the Insider program but we have no other new info. When will we get the new, more inclusive avatar system? Personally I thought it looked
much better than the current one, and can't wait to see it rolled out officially.

New Xbox Avatar app

Sorry you're upset. However, the items you purchased for your avatar are still available on the old avatar system. They will always be linked to your account via that one.

However, the purchased items are not rolling over to the new avatar.

 

New Ui September for Preview

There is nothing I liked about the new UI and I love the current XBO tile system. Here's hoping that at least I am not greeted by my avatar on the new home screen like I currently do on X360.

 

we dont have a date of when they release, they are being tested by insiders now so its not far off

if i were to guess i would say 1-2 months but dont take my word on that, just basing on how long stuff goes from insider to public

 

I'm sure they will be released in good standings and with varieties.

 

I am all in favor of an updated avatar system, I am sure it is being worked on and readied for launching to the public! Sadly I don't know much more than you do on this one.

 

Hopefully all of our current avatar gear will transfer over. I have a limited edition Slim Jim shirt that I do not want to lose lol.

 

I'm looking forward to it too. I'm sure if the insider program has it it's only a matter of time.

 

I think that's the plan. You've got to be able to snap in to it!!

 

Hopefully the Original avatar items will transfer over to the new Avatar.

However, currently we only have the options to choose which avatar appears on Xbox Live. We can choose to either use the New 'Xbox Avatar' or switch back to the 'Xbox Original Avatar'.

It's quite possible that on public release we'll be able to use one or the other.

 

It is currently in the works and being tested by the Xbox insiders!

So it should be coming out soon but no ETA yet though!

I hope so. We were asking the ambassadors team if our ambassador avatar gear will transfer over and at that moment, they weren’t sure.

 

It just rolled out to the Beta ring in the Insider Program so it's slowly moving it's way through the testing phase. Lots of feedback will make these Avatars the best they can be for when the full release comes

 

Yeah, If the content doesn't end up being transfered. I may end up just using the 'Xbox Original Avatar'.

I do like how the new avatars are progressing, but I like a lot of the old content I've collected over the years on the original avatar.
