New August update deletes my games and storage.

So whenever I turn off my console the past few days it updates, like normal I guess, but the problem is, I have a 2 tb hard drive with all of my games on it and after the update that hard drive is literally deleted off the system and I cant access it. I
have had to reset my console before it started working again, luckily the games weren't uninstalled but I couldn't access them which is very frustrating. Plus with no actual help from the actual microsoft company or any fixes for this issue this is very disappointing.
I would rather not have to set up my account for the slower start-up and forced updates, just to make sure that my system doesn't update because I would love to be able to play online. I was hoping to get some advice on how to fix my system so that it would
still read my external hard drive after this update. Thank you.

Cloud storage save

Hey everyone, I decided to replay Assassin Creed Unity, but I never finished the game and I'd rather start over, but there is no way to just start a new game. So, I went to the Manage games tab for Xbox and click delete my save. But the new update doesn't
give the option to delete the save from cloud storage. So, everytime I click on the game it sync back up with cloud storage and brings my save back, even when I click stop syncing, it still syncs. And I can't find the option to delete the cloud storage. So,
I was wondering if anyone else could help me out, thank you.

That's right... My bad!

I haven't played around much with the new storage options but I would suspect there is a way to go in and manage (delete/reinstall) game updates now. Maybe someone with more knowledge can help you with this.

Otherwise, a full delete/reinstall of the game should cause all the updates to re-download and install. And you shouldn't worry about losing game data if you're deleting/reinstalling the game.
