New August Preview Update 1409 ? where is it...?

is anyone getting the new preview update that support media streaming from all kinds of devices ?

they said it was released now but I'm not seeing it in the US

Preview Member - 1409 Update

Hi Guys I'm not to sure where to post this but Ill try here. I accidentally unenrolled myself from the beta preview and I cant seem to re enroll myself from the preview beta app on my dashboard... Any ideas on how I can re enroll?

 

Who said it was released? Because it isn't just yet. If you are in the preview programme only a few have 1409 at the moment.

1408 is the August update, 1409 is Septembers.

I have both updates on 2 consoles, won't get 1409 on the other untill it's rolled out to more or all preview users.

 

It currently just plays media from USB devices. More streaming support will be added as the updates progress.

 

I'm in the prewiew and majornelson said these features are rolling out now to the preview users

 

Major Nelson isn't strictly correct to include everyone though.

while keeping others on 1408 to help us make sure it's ready for prime time.

As you can see, it's only a select few who have 1409 at the moment. )

 

I've had a lot of issues with crashes while using 1408 lately - the IE app will crash as well as numerous YouTube videos through it, and sometimes while typing messages, it'll cancel my message automatically. I've reported this to numerous engineers and
other MS employees and haven't received much in the way of responses.

 

Yes I've had messages cancel after nearly finishing them myself GG. Other than that, not had too many problems with IE.

Had plenty of crashes with certain websites, they work some days others they crash the browser, but on the whole, it's mostly usable. )
