New astros

Ok so the new 2015 Astro gaming headsets came out now the 2 versions are one with a M80 mix amp (its a mixamp and chat adaptor in one) and the normal mix amp pro with headset now the mix amp pro states it is for ps4, ps3, MAC, pc but will work with a xbox
one now the xbox one edition of the A-40's are 7.1 like the mix amp pro version but because the xbox one controller doesnt support 7.1 till microsoft enable it the a40's for xbox one produce stereo sound so i was wondering will microsoft release a filmware
for the controller to enable 7.1 through the controller

I got Astros from 20122 I'll prob get the new Astros the 2013 or if they make them then the 2014 editions had mine since 2011 never had any probs

 

Astros Headset For New Console

While I currently enjoy my Astros on my 360 , I haven't been able to get. A firm answer as. To weather our current headsets are going to work on the new console? Astro is pretty active on twitter, so I. Tried asking them directly, no answer, so I called
them in their offices, no firm answer , so I guess I'm wondering if anyone else has heard anything , I love this headset, and I'm crossing my fingers ill just need a new adaptor or cable , any info would be appreciated , thanks

 

If they're plug in through the mix amp and optical port they shouldn't be broadcasting in stereo. I have Astros and have no idea what you are talking about through the controller.

 

No astro made a mix amp that conects to the xbox controller

 

Yes Gh0stz is right. There are currently two new version of astros. The one we all know, which comes with the mixamp and another designed just for Xbox One which uses it's own adapter into the controller instead of the xbox one adapter. The M80 only outputs
stereo because it's done via controller, not optical port.

I was under the impression the M80 was staying stereo though?

 

No the M80 is 7.1 same with the headphones you get wth it but according to astro support microsoft need to make a filmware for the controller and make it output 7.1

 

I was told from Astro that the M80 was 7.1 and it was up to Xbox to enable the controller. I was waiting on the grey and red a40 before I pick them up cus the blue is really not for me.

 

MS needs to get on this update. Its been like a year now...

 

I have problems with my A40 + M80 mix amp with intermittent sound drop out. Anyone else finding this and if you are have you been able to fix the problem?

My controller and Xbone is updated.

 

I've had it happen once or twice. I just unplugged the mixamp and plugged it back in. It seemed to fix itself that way.
