New app

Hi, a couple of days ago I turned off my laptop, the next morning I turned it on and it was very different. I can still use it but cannot access the m/soft solitaire collection and jigsaws. I also now cannot open Skype, Snip and Sketch and the M/soft Store.
When I try to download the Solitaire stuff it is telling me that I need a new app, but the "ok" button in the little window is greyed out. So please, which "new app" do I need? Also my History now only begins at the morning I turned it on and it had all changed!
All my photos had gone too, but by using file explorer I have found them, so they are in there somewhere. What has happened? My OS in Edge and the machine is an HP pavilion dv7. Many thanks.
