New account.xbox.com website doesn't work properly with Mozzila Firefox and Microsoft Edge.

Tittle says all. The new website fails to display game clips on Microsoft Edge and Mozzila Firefox. It just shows this:



...and never loads!

Also, the "Popular Mixer Streams" does now show any thumbnail for videos as it shows on Google Chrome.



On Google Chrome it works fine but I do not want to use Google's bloatware. Please fix it, it drives me crazy and it's Microsoft's own browser after all.

Messages won't load on Xbox.com when using Mozzila Firefox or Microsoft Edge

When trying to view
my messages on Mozzila Firefox or Microsoft Edge an error comes up saying "We were unable to load your messages, please try again later.". Google Chrome works fine though.

You have to use the website if it doesn't work you need to clean your cache and cookies or use a different browser edge or Firefox preferred

My console and app is working fine. I never said I had issues with viewing clips there. Also, on Google Chrome videos work fine. The issue is with Mozzila Firefox and Microsoft Edge browsers. The troubleshooter you posted is referring to the Xbox console,
I have no problems on my console, no problems at all. My connection right now on my PC seems fine as I have 19 ping, 14.86 Mbps download which should be ultra fine to play a video. Also, if it was a network error shouldn't I see it on Google Chrome too?

So, are you saying that you tried on your own browsers and it works fine? Because after your reply I checked with 4 friends of mine and asked them to verify and they all were unable to play videos on their browser. If you have indeed checked and you can
play the videos then I should start more PC troubleshooting steps, but with all due respect, I highly doubt that 4 PCs have connection issues which occur only when using these specific 2 browsers on this specific website.

 

UPDATE: The issue appears to be on our end. I am sorry. I've fixed it on Mozzila Firefox for all 4 PCs by disabling hardware acceleration in Settings. I am right now trying to figure out how to do it on Edge. Again, I am sorry, this issue was on our end.

still fails to play videos and so does with my friends! Anyway I'm gonna go and assume this is on our end. Thanks!

 

Hello again. I believe I have found the cause of these issues. Please read to what I'll say. In some regions, account.xbox.com uses this sidebar



So, in order to navigate to Home, Profile, Messages and stuff you have to click on "My Xbox" AND THEN choose the desired page. My region, el-GR is one of them.

On other regions, account.xbox.com uses this layout:



Where you do not have to press on my Xbox in order to move between tabs of account.xbox.com.

Now here is the problem. When you navigate using the second layout, the green loading bar appears



BUT, on pages that do not use this layout, and you have to use the navigation bar the green loading bar DOES NOT APPEAR. This causes content to not load. In order to believe me I have reproduced it in the following video! Here, I use the en-US website of Xbox.com.
I start from xbox.com/en-us and choose "My Xbox" and then "Home", there, NO GREEN LOADING BAR APPEARS, and this causes the popular mixer streams category to fail to load, as well as videos and clips that I try to play. Then. I press "HOME" without using the
navigation bar (my xbox). This will cause the green loading bar to show, and then mixer streams will load properly and videos will play. Please, reproduce it on your own browser and you'll see that I am right. Please pass it to your developers. I do not know
why Google Chrome isn't affected by this but I believe this to be the cause although I am not a programmer it seems pretty obvious to me.
