New account for my son

currently my son has an account on the xbox 360 for his console at my home and his dads(same account on both) i purchased a new xbox 0ne for him and couldnt login to his account and when i tried to change the password it wouldnt let me cause it was an old
email and no longer was able to retrieve the password cause his dad changed it and was no help in setting things up. so long story short i set up a new account for him and want to know how much access his dad will have if i let him log the account on his console.
i would love my son access to the extras i have purchased for him but i am worried his dad will just be taking advantage of the live account and any digital downloads i purchased. Is there any thing i can do or is it just a give the benefit of the doubt and
put up with me paying for basically an extra person.

Well, EA sports does not allow online game play for users under 13. It knows how old the player is by the birthdate entered for the gamertag, and that birthdate can't be changed once it's set up. So in order to play online he will need a gold membership
and a 13 or older gamertag birthdate. Anyone under the age of 18 can have parental controls activated and you should look up and use the parental control features.

If he wants to play an online game with his friends he will need a Gold Account. If you are worried about talking over XBL you can limit what he hears, who he hears, among other things. You can set up parental controls as well as privacy settings for your
