New account created instead of using our current one

So my son who thought he knew everything about xbox and installing etc, downloaded fortnight. We already had a game pass for fortnight, but he didn't realise that and has now gone and created another fortnight account on xbox, instead of "linking" so as
to play over multiple consoles. How can i change this? I have looked everywhere - we have un-installed, re-installed, rebooted deleted everything started new, but i cannot seem to find anywhere that will let us now link the account with the one he should have
used.

We have to use the account on the xbox as thats the one that has the game pass on so opening a new email is not going to work.

So my question is:

1: how can i change the fortnight login to be the same on that we have a game pass for on another device if my son has already started playing it and created a whole new account.

You will not be able to transfer anything from one account to another.

i think its unlikely a ua claim will have any effect after years of it having happened.

i would instead use a xbox360 to move the unwanted gamertag to a new microsoft account and then use your current email to create a new gamertag
