Neverwinter Xbox One Release date?

If your frequently getting labelled " negative " and a " hater " then take the hint dude. C'mon. Surely you can grasp this.

I have never made a negative comment or given an opinion on a game I haven't played or a on platform that I don't own yet that occurs regularly in this forum by the same people that put those labels on me.

It is perfectly acceptable for people to make negative comments or give opinions on something that they have no personal experience with in this forum as long as it isn't directed towards the MS brand or it's communities preferences in games or features.

But I'm the bad guy.....pot meet kettle.

It's not your negative comments or opinion that I'm arguing dude, and you know it. It's the exact thing you've decided to turn around. It's other peoples opinions and positive comments you seem to delude into a " you know nothing " approach.

 

That's the problem....you own all platforms,played all games,use all services....And then you have to justify yourself by making comparision.....(2nd time on Neverwinter threads).

And of course,derail threads on things that you don't like to advertise things that you like....

You guys are doing the exact same thing.

I make a comment that Neverwinter isn't a very good MMO, other games in the genre do it better and if you enjoy the genre maybe you should try X, Y or Z and my opinion gets labeled as trolling yet you guys can go on and on about how good the game is and
it's fine.

There is a misconception here that because the two dozen or so people that regularly post in this forum generally agree with each other that you speak for all Xbox owners and gamers. Many of us game on multiple platforms and if someone reading this thread
has only played Neverwinter in the MMO genre and reads your post they'll assume that this is a good representation of the genre.

I simply voiced my opinion and gave recommendations based on my experience which is frowned up on because it doesn't represent your views. Then the same people that make everything personal, start with the name calling show up and accuse me of derailing
the thread.

Back on topic with no comparisons.....I find the game very lacking in content, the boss fights are boring (and all the same), limited skill sets, horrible healing mechanics, server stability issues, game doesn't explain class roles, no communication.....is
that better?

 

Take this petty disagreement to the private messages or something, nobody cares about anything y'all are talking about that's not related to this NeverWinter post.

As for NeverWinter, I find it quite enjoyable and addicting. Of course there are better games out there but it's FREE and it's on the Xbox One, I don't do PC gaming anymore so I'm quite happy to see MMORPGs finally coming to the Xbox console.

 

Did the Spellplague dungeon,really great,we finished the last boss battle with a healer and myself (the rest of the team died).That was quite epic (and stressful).....

By the way,don't forget to upgrade your artifact(s).Forgot to upgrade mine,during 20 levels.Arf !

 

I've been playing solo and now level 13 but seem to have run out of quests? I'm obviously doing something wrong so advice would be appreciated!

Same thing happened to me.

Go back to the Tower District and keep to the Left Hand Side as you advance.

Use the map and try to get to the far side of the map.

Eventually you'll hit some characters who will give you more quests.

You just have to look for them.

 

Also keep going back to Sergeant Knox, also seek out the Harpers. Every map also has quest givers. Those along with the daily skirmishes and dungeon, I'm actually having a hard time keeping up.

Just started working on the campaign yesterday. You can get permanent stat boosts (boons) with the currency (Pages of Arcane Lure) that you obtain, doing the campaign quests.

 

I'm not much of a fan of the campaign... maybe it's just that I'm new to the whole MMO aspect and this is typical of how it's done? It just seems difficult to figure out how/what to do and when to do it.

I didn't even know there was a 'campaign' until someone I game with pointed out where to find it. Assist the Harpers... OK... go to this map, do this, return. But... there are dozens of other side quests on the same map and no way to distinguish them from
the campaign? Not to mention that sometimes you return to an NPC on the map you've just done a campaign quest on and get another quest (which may or may not be campaign?). Other times you return to Protector's Enclave.

I've only completed the first block in the campaign flow chart... or tree, if you will. Now, I'm stuck because it tells me that I need to be at least level 35<(I think) and have completed a certain mission... I'm a level 53 and can't find that mission. lol
I'm still enjoying the game, it just seems like the campaign is disjointed and not very well woven into the game, to me.

 

The only reason I'm doing the campaign is to get the boosts and rewards. E.g. one boon adds to your stats 200 permanent power, with 30 Pages of Arcane Lore. Just another aspect of the game from which to build your character up from.

By the way, I soloed the Throne of Indris yesterday. That was a bear.But felt like an accomplishment.

Also, as a level 45 did the Gray Wolf skirmish with all random players, not a single tank in the mix, and no one had mics. We killed it!

 

Anyone know how to get the "garden key"???

 

Skirmishes are designed to be run by 5 of any class, dungeons are designed for the MMO trinity (tank. healer and dps).

If you go to some of the other gaming sites that have Neverwinter specific forums you'll see people starting to complain about getting kicked continually (meaning your group is kicking you) or the gear score kicks.

This was the point I was trying to make earlier before everyone got all bent out of shape about me being negative towards the game. The game makes no attempt to explain class roles in dungeons and as you get closer to end game that will have a huge impact
on your progression.

I think they need another tutorial prior to the first dungeon that explains common MMO etiquette and roles. If your looting during combat and the healer/tank are actually playing their classes as intended (holding agro/healing) then you're upsetting them
, if you're playing a dps class and pulling mobs or getting agro and continuing to dps you're also upsetting them, the list goes on.

They have two options....drop the difficulty so dungeons can be run by any class without dedicated roles (my dumbed down reference in prior post) or explain the game while you level if not it'll be long Q's for DPS, limited tanks and healers and a horrible
community....the good MMO's have learned that lesson.
