Neverwinter Economy or How I stopped Worrying and Went Broke from Playing a Free Game.

@stalrates - yeah I don't have the time or energy to farm enough AD to open even the 10 boxes I have now. I'd rather explore the PVE quest lines. Probably I'll buy a couple of keys and see what I can get, then move on. There are approximately two bazillion
different ways to "earn" loot in this game and unless you're aiming for the Perfect Annihilator Build you saw on one of the MMORPG "build" websites, there's plenty of opportunity to get high-quality gear.

I actually think games like this are the most fun at the mid levels. Once I hit 60, it's going to be a harder and harder grind to get The One Thing I Need to get my Gear Score to 2,000 or whatever. See: Destiny (a game I've thoroughly enjoyed BTW, but still
a grind after level 30).

 

Also, FYI, there ought to be a Neverwinter forum here pretty soon. I know some people, see...

 

I converted all my 4K Astral Diamonds to Zen and am now the owner of 40 Zen.

In another month I may just be able to afford the "Old Grey Mare" Mount.

 

Wow, this does sound pretty confusing in regards to the currency, but I see lots of friends enjoying this game so might look into it at some stage.

 

There is an Arc app available now which does a little to explain the currency system as well as other things.

 

Basically at last transaction 1000 Astral Diamons will almost buy you 10 Zen.

You go to the Zen Exchange on the pause menu.

Despite this unfavourable exchange rate it's still a fun game to play.

 

I've spent money on this game too and I was quite surprised that they charge you tax. Had I known this I would have gotten a bigger card to scratch off. So I unfortunately had to settle for less Zen coins than I wanted. But that's not my problem right now.
My problem is how I'm suddenly having trouble connecting to the dang servers after being able to play with little to no problem since launch. Today I've been hit with "Server not responding" so much I haven't been able to play at all.

 

On Wednesday my friend (local to me) and I were teamed up (in the same instances of each map of course) for a couple of hours and he was getting booted constantly while I had no problems. It's like the servers said, "screw THIS GUY in particular."

 

It's taken a week but I now have a Honey Badger companion.My life is complete

 

hello everyone. im new to neverwinter or was, im now an addict to say the least. and ive played for about 150 hours now. yes that is an extreme amount. lol but either way point im getting to is that i have not paid a cent on neverwinter. ive opened about
40 lock boxes. i have 4 drakes companions and much more importantly i have the 75$ Dragonborn pack. ive always been great at working markets. at fifa mlb madden all the same. point is work the market. i swear i am not exaggerating so im proof this game doesnt
make people fork over money. you want an item flip the market and get it free. you guys want some tips or wanna team up add me .

It doesn't lol,no matter how many enemies are about it'll always go for the biggest one.
