Never refunded after 2 months

My son accidentally purchased a $80 game 2 months ago. I was approved a refund right away but was never refunded. I called Microsoft, they stated I have to just wait it out for a while and it should have been refunded. They basically can’t do anything because I have to get refunded online. I then called my bank and they stated no refund was ever issued and if it was it would be approved. They don’t hold refunds. 60 days later and no refund. My bank said I can file a claim against Microsoft for a fraudulent charge but they will basically deactivate my debit card and would have to send me a new one. I pay all my bills with it and it’s just an annoyance to do this since it’s automatic so I will have to input all my info on all my bills. Is there another route I can take?

They will be able to provide you with an update on the status on the refund and will be able to assist you further.

sometimes they refund to the Microsoft account so i would check your sons account, but i also would ring them again and try to sort it, if you pull the charge back via the bank it causes a lot of issues with the Microsoft account.

have you replied to the email that you received stating you have not had any refund yet.

I believe that after 2 months it is not possible to request a refund for any product.

I was wrongfully decline for a refund in 2020 yet when I mentioned it to the refund team it taken them three months to respond. Then they blamed me saying I took to long to submit a refund, but I submitted the day after I purchased it. I have 1hour 15minutes logged onto the game which last I checked was under the 2 hours of playtime before complete denial. You can check it cause I never touched the game again

I've tried that on multiple attempts but I never received a response after replying to the email. And its been a entire month now of not receiving a response for any of my refund requests.
