    never received promo points

    I've checked my email and contact info and everything is up to date and valid.

    I've also checked my email and can't find anything, it should be noted that I had spoken to a Microsoft representative in january and they said it would take until at least february to get the points the representative also told me that the points would
    be added directly to my account, not by email. So there is a chance that the email got deleted accidentally, because I wasn't on the look out for it, and I clear out my email about once a month. I talked to the representative

    If it helps, the promo was a holiday promo that had to do with redeeming a pre-paid 12 month gold membership card through the promo to receive 600 points.

    The promo was during the christmas season and I used it on december 26 2011.

    Your region is not a valid Rewards region. Canadian members were migrated to Microsoft Rewards, as mentioned in both your emails and on the Rewards page when the migration occurred. If you are having an issue with your new Microsoft Rewards account, the
    Microsoft Rewards program is a separate program, so we are not fully informed on their issues. You should try contacting their support team via the Microsoft Rewards website.

    During your Xbox Live Rewards tenure, you could only earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

    1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at
    https://rewards.xbox.com/mymissions/

    2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
    back as MyVIP payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

    Since you did not complete any offers, and only became a MyVIP member in September, you did not have any Rewards Credits until September 2017.

    I'm not quite sure of any specifics just that i have never received credits for anything at all.
