    Hi All,.

    I make all my purchases of games through the online store, and checking the rewards program FAQ; I'm a VIP 2* and should be receiving a percentage of my purchases back.

    And ideas why this isnt happening?

    hi

    I opened a case just before xmas explaining that I've never received any rewards despite being a rewards member for a long time! To test this I logged into my rewards account and did decembers survey, no points were awarded, I also completed January's survey,
    again nothing received!

    So today I contacted Xbox support via phone and also Microsoft support via twitter because I started thread here explaining this just before xmas and I started getting somewhere, it was being investigated and my thread would be updated accordingly. Since
    then I've asked for an update using that thread and both requests for updates have been ignored/unanswered.

    This is the original thread in question, all communication on my case is here:

    After speaking with both support teams today, both suggested I start a fresh thread on here again, so I've created this one.

    I would be so very happy and appreciative for any support on this now, my original case was opened approximately 6 weeks ago and it still persists. Thanks in advance

    Hello Keeeeearl,

    You are not currently a two star MyVIP member. It sounds like you may not be fully informed on how our program works.

    You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

    1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at Xbox Live Rewards .

    -or-

    2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
    back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

    In September 2014 we changed to the MyVIP policy. As a result, payback based off Gamerscore (MyAchievements) was discontinued. Also, as of July 2014, we do not award Credits for Xbox Live Gold renewals. MyVIP has a recalibration every year. At the end of
    the year, we place you in your MyVIP rank for the new year based off your eligible spending from the previous year, and set your progress to the default state. This happened in September 2015 and December 2016. Since you are a zero star member, you do not
    get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards).

    While you were at one star for a time back in 2015, you did not have enough eligible spending to maintain that rank after the September 2015 reset, and were placed at a default rank. Furthermore, the majority of your purchases appear to be in-game consumables
    (things like Halo 5 REQ packs, Battlefield 1 Battlepacks, or Rainbow Six Credits, for example), which are not eligible for MyVIP, as stated previously.
