Never joined preview program but still go an Preview update

Please don't reveal ticket numbers as this is a public forum and anyone could use that ticket.

Did you purchase the console online via third party website (Ebay, Amazon etc) if so then that may be the issue but you shouldn't receive a update you haven't signed up for so what i suggest is that you contact a mod / forum official and politely ask them
to let you into the preview forums. I'm sure that they can help.

And if want and invitation to the program you will have to go through 3 steps,

1) Be invited

2) Be accepted

3) Enroll

(Note being accepted can take up to months before actually getting into the program and there is no guarantees and if you have any 'recent' enforcement action on your account can restrict access to the program. But if your enforcement action was a year ago
then your set and authorized to join the program.)

The preview program is still active. The release of NXOE was not the final release for the preview program, it will just go back to normal now. You will still get preview updates before they are released to the public.

I have the TV running through my Xbox One, had for more than a year but the November update never included the "What's On" tab for my desktop. It only showed up after I joined the preview program which is why it appeared to me that it is only part of the
preview program. Does anyone have the tab that is not in the preview program?

For preview program problems you will need to post in the preview program forums.

Also, joining the preview program may not guarantee that you'll be in the current wave of preview updates for backwards compatibility, meaning you could have to wait until next month to start receiving updates.

For those who have only been invited, but have not been accepted yet, you will only see our Preview Program Support forum. This is where you will need to go if you lost a code
or are experiencing issues installing the update.

If anyone here in this thread get's a 'Group not found' error, that means we were unable to verify preview program status and you still need to be sent an invite from one of your friends to join.
