gamebar is part of the OS, your microsoft account is also the xbox account, they are seamless, gamebar is always running and signed in when you are signed in on the laptop or pc. if you disable gamebar in the setting it will re activate when a feature update is installed. this is normal.

it will be even more integrated with windows 11 including gamepass. it uses practically zero resources .



don't forget, windows 10 is now a service that is freely available, long gone are the days of a traditional OS, you agree to the terms when signing in and using it, this includes all the gumph that comes with it.

if this is not what you want then you may need to move to linux or mac (mac is even worse)

I had the same issue on Saturday when I went to use my laptop, which had been closed and in sleep mode for the day. Gamebar and its widgets were showing on the screen. Would be interested if anyone has got to the bottom of this.

So, does that mean there is no way to view these other posts using the game bar? Because I know I have cross play enabled.

The only change I have dont is installing a terabyte drive into my computer but game bar was not working before that happened

I have not uninstalled the Xbox app

The version of game bar I have installed is 5.721.12013.0

My computer is not fully updated I will do this now I will post a reply if it works after I update
