Never connects to the internet

Our xbox series x has internet connection issues. We are to the router. It never connects when it is turned on. The NAT is strict. Sometimes just restarting the xbox will solve the issue, others the whole network has to be restated. My husband read something about making the ip address fixed to help solve this issue. It did not. There has to be some way to fix it. It happens every single time we start the xbox.

The DMZ may fix this.

To give you the correct steps, I would need to know your router model and search for it, but, I can also give you some directions.

Setting the DMZ:

A) On your Router

1. Make sure to use the ethernet cable connection, it is more reliable than the Wi-Fi one. (If possible)

2. You then, have to assign a static (fixed) IP for your Xbox console on your router, which will enable you to do the next steps

3. Turn on DMZ under the IP you selected for your Xbox Console.

4. Turn on UPnP on your router

By doing that, you'll pretty much have an open and direct connection to the game servers.

B) On the Xbox Console

Configure the network settings accordingly.

Enter the Settings menu.

Under the General tab, select Network Settings then Advanced Settings.

Take note of the information displayed

Select IP Settings > Manual.

Enter the same IP you configured on your router DMZ.

Oh and also I almost never connects to the internet. In the 50 times I have tried to fix it. It has connected to the internet 3 times!

I was looking at the school's website and it says that the internet is available for the gaming consoles and all that is required is a wired connection to the internet. Is it possible there is a problem with the port on the xbox because ive been able to
connect to wireless internet but have never tried a wired connection?

All of my other xboxs connected to the internet without a problem but when I try to connect with just this xbox it will never connect
